Twenty Twenty Two

2022 – There was a meme at the start of the year that asked 2020 too? As in a second round of 2020… 2020 was a hard year, wasn’t it? For that reason I prayed, “Lord, please not again” but for all that God revealed to me in vision and clarity of understanding God, learning more about who He is, and what His word says – I prayed “Yes, Lord, keep opening our eyes and heart to You”. I literally thought, “Oh! 20/20 too” as in 20/20 vision, another year of clarity of vision of the things of God.

So I began to pray verses like Psalms 51:10, “Create in me a pure heart O’ God and renew a right spirit within me”.

God put a hunger and thirst within me last year that I haven’t felt in awhile, and in Jesus alone I was satisfied. I want that to continue through the years to come. Not just for me – I pray this for you too, for us!

In His word I felt alive again. I craved and was satisfied in quiet time with Him. I realized I needed to prioritize and protect that time spent with Him. Specifically, reading His word. Why? Because I need to know what it says so that I am not swayed back and forth by lies or partial truths. I learned it is important so that we are not led astray.

That is my prayer for us! I pray God protects us and keeps us close to Him that we may be reminded of Him again and again. To know Him, His great love for us and our purpose!

I love how God loves us and draws us back to Him, again and again! And stirs within us passion for His ways. I pray that 2022 is a year that God continues to reveal Himself to you and me in only the way He can.
